Dashboard – Reorder Course Cards
You can now use the Move option by clicking the three vertical dots on a course card or drag and drop a card to change the order of course cards on your Canvas Dashboard.
Rich Content Editor – New Way to Record Audio & Video
The new HTML5 Media Recorder for Chrome and Firefox web browsers makes it easier to record audio and video from your computer. The new Media recorder is available in these areas of Canvas:
- Rich Content Editor
SpeedGrader – Rubrics: Additional Comments Text Field
When an instructor or TA creates a rubric for an assignment and views the rubric in SpeedGrader, clicking the Additional Comments icon displays a comments field directly below the selected criterion. Instructors and TAs can now add comments for the criterion, save the comment, and view the comment directly below the criterion. Previously the comment would not display until the rubric was saved.
Canvas Commons – Resource Previews
Canvas Commons is a space for Stanford faculty and instructional staff to share course resources. You can share course content with everyone in the Stanford Canvas community, with only those in your department or just post resources for your own use. The new Canvas Commons Preview tab allows instructors and TAs to preview Canvas Commons resource content before importing it into a course.
